Friends Insurance Brokerage has insured clients since 1994. We specialize in business insurance, workers compensation and New York State disability, along with home, property, liability and car insurance. A straightforward insurance office, licensed in New York, New Jersey and Florida.
Founder's corner.
Edward was born in the former Soviet Union on March 14, 1953. He immigrated to the United States with his family in December 1989, in pursuit of the American Dream, and they arrived in New York on March 23, 1990. Edward refused to live on public assistance and took any job that came his way. He was a bus boy and a car service driver. He also cleaned asbestos because it paid well. No job was too hard, and he was never afraid to get his hands dirty.
In 1993 Edward became an agent for John Hancock and began selling life insurance. It became his career, and it was where he found his passion. He dreamed of opening his own business, and in 1994 he had saved enough money to open Friends Insurance Brokerage.
His American Dream became a reality. He enjoyed being his own boss and working with people of different cultures and backgrounds. Over twenty years Edward worked hard to build his relationships with insurance companies and with clients, and he built a successful business.
Today Alex Braylovskiy runs Friends Insurance from the same storefront on Nostrand Avenue.
